Broceliande is a mythical forest of Arthurian legend, where many stories are told about Merlin, the fairies Morgana and Viviane, as well as some of the knights of the round table.
The texts situate several high places and deeds there, in particular the valley of no return where Morgana traps unfaithful men until she is foiled by Lancelot of the Lake, and the fountain of Barenton reputed to make it rain.
